DAY 1: BUENOS AIRES / ESTANCIA LA FIGURA
Description: your guide will greet you at the airport and take you to Estancia La Figura. Once you’ve settled in, you will be able to immediately begin your golf circuit practicing on the 9-hole golf course located at the very heart of this magnificent rural property, built in three stages starting in the 19th century. The estancia’s park, designed by landscape architect Charles Thays, covers 50 hectares of lakes and small gardens. DAY 2: BUENOS AIRES / BARILOCHE / LLAO LLAO - "The Mecca of Argentine golf"
Description: a guide from the Llao Llao Hotel will greet you at Bariloche airport. After settling in, you will be able to succumb to the pleasures of golf by practicing on the 18-hole course of this mythical hotel. Its Golf Club has the peculiarity of being located in the very heart of Nahuel Huapi National Park. Surrounded by the landscape’s stunning natural beauty, the greens stretch from one end of the peninsula to the other. Back at the hotel, you’ll be able to enjoy its facilities: swimming pool, spa, tea salon… Distances:the hotel is located 35 km (22 miles) from Bariloche airport. DAY 3: LLAO LLAO / CIRCUITO CHICO / LLAO LLAO - "Zigzag between the lakes"
Description: after breakfast, you’ll meet your guide and begin the day’s excursion, which will begin at Llao Llao Peninsula, where the hotel is located. After 17 km (10.6 miles) you’ll arrive at the foot of Mt. Campanario, whose chair lift will take you 1050 meters (3445 feet) high. Located in the midst of a mosaic of lakes and peninsulas, the panorama is exceptional. At km 26 of the peninsula, you’ll have a view of the Llao Llao Hotel and San Eduardo Chapel. The tour then crosses a wooded area and the road, as you go up, allows you to discover successive beautiful viewpoints up to the Swiss Colony. In the afternoon, you’ll return to the hotel where you can rediscover the magnificent golf course. Distances: 80 km (49 miles) throughout the day. Optional: hike to Villa Tacul, located at the end of the Llao Llao peninsula; 300 meters (985 feet) from the parking lot you’ll find a rocky viewpoint at Nahuel Huapi Lake. DAY 4: HOTEL LLAO LLAO / HOTEL ARELAUQUEN - "From one shore to another…"
Description: after breakfast, your guide will pick you up to take you from the Llao Llao Hotel to the ex-Arelauquen Lodge. Thus, you will go from Lake Nahuel Huapi to Lake Gutiérrez. You then enter the Arelauquen Club, a privileged spot not only for practicing golf but also for Argentinean polo. Once you’ve settled in, you may immediately put yourself to the test in this highly competitive circuit. The club is open all year round and welcomes golfers who are passing by as well as the owners of the houses within the club. Distances: 30 km (19 miles) from Llao Llao to Arelauquen. DAY 5: VILLA CATEDRAL / REFUGIO LYNCH / ARELAUQUEN - "For souls in search of open spaces"
Description: after breakfast at the hotel, you will head towards Mt. Cathedral, where you will take a chair lift to reach 1800 meters (5905 feet); then a chair lift will take you to Lynch Refuge. While you enjoy an excellent lunch, you’ll also delight in the majestic view of the mountain range and the lakes. To stretch your legs, we suggest a brief walk to Mt. Tronador viewpoint. In the first hours of the afternoon, you will return to the lodge where you will be able to enjoy this golf course designed with the help of well-known golfer Vicente “Chino” Fernandez. You will also be able to make use of the other facilities: the swimming pool, the sauna and the tennis courts. Distances: 30 km (19 miles) from Arelauquen to Villa Catedral (roundtrip). DAY 6 : LAGO NAHUEL HUAPI / VILLA LA ANGOSTURA / LAS BALSAS - "Magical sapphire-colored waters"
Description: after breakfast, you will head down the road to circle Lake Nahuel Huapi, the remains of what used to be a 100-km-long glacier. In Villa la Angostura, you’ll hop onboard a catamaran and begin an excursion around the myrtles peninsula. At the end of the Los Arrayanes Park, you stop for an 800-meter (2600 feet) walk through the famous myrtle forest. This tree’s bark is chestnut when it’s young and orange when it reaches adulthood, after 160 to 250 years. You can return to the pier on foot, accompanied by the guide; the walk leads to the peninsula entrance and it is 12 km (7.5 miles), which will take you about 2 hours. At the end of the day, you will take the route to Las Balsas Hotel, famous for having the “Relais & Châteaux” designation. Optional: sailing Lake Nahuel Huapi in an exclusive private sailboat with two stops: first, Victoria Island, whose small chair lift will take you to the top of Mt. Bella Vista, where the view overlooks the entire Manhattan-sized island, completely covered by forest. After sailing for 45 minutes more you’ll disembark at Quetrihué Peninsula, at the end of the Arrayanes National Park. After a walk in the woods, the sailboat will drop you off at Villa La Angostura. Technical description: with a capacity of 1 to 6 people, the “Chandon” sailboat is an F&C44 «ketch» 13.41 meter (44 feet) long vessel, with a teka covered fiber hull, two masts and an interior cabin made of cedar. The boat is equipped with all the security devices required by International Standards: autopilot, radar, GPS, plotter, eco-sounder, VHF, heating, refrigerator and freezer. Distances: 110 km (68 miles) around the lake, from Arelauquen to Villa La Angostura. For the sailing option: 2 to 3 hours, depending on the wind, in order to reach Victoria Island and 2 more hours to reach Villa La Angostura. DAY 7 : RUCA KUYEN / CERRO BAYO / LAS BALSAS - "Rest and recharge your batteries"
Description: in the morning, you will leave for the 9-hole golf course located at the Ruca Kuyen complex. Each of its holes possesses a specific difficulty. The quality of the golf course is excellent. Its attractiveness lies in the originality of the natural landscape that surrounds it, since it’s located within a forest that skirts Nahuel Huapi National Park. High up, you can see Mt. Bayo, which you will visit after lunch. A chair lift will take you very near the peak, from where you will enjoy an unrivalled view over Lake Nahuel Huapi, the Quetrihue Peninsula, and at a distance, Mt. Tronador. You will descend via the chair lift and your vehicle will leave you near the Bonito River cascade, which you will access on foot through a small path. After this adventure you deserve a delicious tea at the Correntoso, with a splendid view of Lake Nahuel Huapi, a moment of pure beauty. DAY 8 : LAS BALSAS / VILLA LA ANGOSTURA / SAN MARTÍN DE LOS ANDES / LOI SUITES CHAPELCO
Description: you will start your day on the famous 7 lakes route heading towards San Martín de los Andes. During the morning, you will visit different viewpoints with various detours and hikes: detour through Espejo Chico Lake and the north branch of Lake Traful, a walk around Lakes Villarino and Falkner. Other majestic landscapes await you: at km 141 the Vulignanco Waterfall and immediately after, Lake Hermoso. Finally you will get to the Arrayan viewpoint which overlooks Lake Lacar and San Martin de los Andes. Around noon you will settle in at the estancia, a magnificent wooden house located in the heart of a small forest. You will then head for Chapelco Golf to experience this exceptional 18-hole circuit, designed by Jack Nicklaus and son. Distances: 110 km (68 miles) total, 48 km (30 miles) dirt road and 62 km (38 miles) paved road. Lunch, dinner and accommodation: Loi Suites Chapelco.
DAY 9: LOI SUITES CHAPELCO / HUECHULAFQUEN - "For lovers of nature in its purest state"
Description: after breakfast, you will set off for an excursion around Lake Huechulafquen, located on the southern slope of the majestic Lanín Volcano. Following the Chimehuin River, you will end up at an impressive viewpoint of the lake and the volcano. Ask your guide to take a detour to the pointy chalet. The road circles the lake, enters a wooded area and leads onto a great plain where Lakes Huechulafquen and Paimun meet. You are in the heart of a Mapuche community (natives). After the picnic, you will return directly to Chapelco Golf to enjoy the circuit once more. Distances: 203 km (126 miles), of which 88 km (55 miles) are paved. DAY 10: LOI SUITES CHAPELCO / PASO DE CÓRDOBA / BARILOCHE / BUENOS AIRES
Description: today you’ll be sad to leave the Estancia, but you will soon be cheered by the majestic scenery on the road towards Bariloche. You start by circling Lake Meliquina. It’s hard to avoid visiting beautiful Lake Filo Hua Hum before returning toCórdoba Pass road, which meanders up to the mountain (1300 meters, 4265 feet) alongside extravagant rocky formations. The view is absolutely stunning, especially in autumn. The road descends to a confluence which leads upward to the town of Villa Traful. A stop at the viewpoint of the Wind is a must: a sublime, magnificent, exceptional panorama of Lake Traful. After lunch, you continue the circuit through the Enchanted Valley, where you will observe strange rocky formations such as the Fingers of God, the Sentinel, the Express Train and the Siamese, among others. You’ll follow the course of the Lima River without missing the Amphitheater viewpoint. In the afternoon you will catch a 2h20 flight from Bariloche to Buenos Aires. You will then join your first guide, who will drive you to your hotel. A dinner show will offer you the passion and grace of tango. Thus, when you are about to leave, Argentina reveals its soul. DAY 11: BUENOS AIRES / INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT
Description: before leaving for the airport, you will discover Buenos Aires and/or, if you prefer, go shopping. The leather-goods and gaucho article shops offer typical and original products. The city tour goes through 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world with its 65 meter (213 feet) obelisk and Avenida de Mayo, which is well known for its buildings of Galician architectural influence. At Plaza de Mayo you will discover the Casa Rosada, the president’s HQ. You will then visit La Boca with its colorful houses made with materials recovered from ships, inspiration for poets and painters. You then discover San Telmo, home to antique shops and traditional tango bars. La Recoleta is a traditional residential neighborhood, where walking is a true pleasure thanks to its numerous parks and squares. To end the tour, you will visit Puerto Madero, the old city port which has recently been completely refurbished. Option: flight over Buenos Aires in a private helicopter. Get an unforgettable panoramic view of Buenos Aires from 200 m in the air, 30 to 45 min tour, covering around 100km. Lunch: Gardiner restaurant or equivalent. Dinner and night: on the plane.
