This trip is an invitation to visit wineries in the Mendoza region and the northwest of Argentina.
DAY 1 : BUENOS AIRES
Description: you will be greeted in Buenos Aires by your guide. Once you’ve settled in at the hotel, you will have the afternoon off or, if you prefer, you can take an initial tour of Buenos Aires. At the end of the day, you’ll receive a detailed briefing around a map from one of our Operations Representatives at the hotel. Lunch and dinner: not included. Accommodation: Atempo Buenos Aires Hotel or equivalent.
DAY 2 : BUENOS AIRES / MENDOZA / BODEGAS LUJÁN DE CUYO / CHACRAS DE CORIA
Description: after a 1h 50min flight, you will be greeted at Mendoza airport and transferred to the estate. Then you will tour wineries of Lujan de Cuyo, one of the main wine regions of Argentina, visiting the Tapiz Winery, your first contact with the vine-stock of the region. You will tour the wine cellars and enjoy a tasting directly from the French and American oak casks. Lunch will be at the Ruca Malen winery, in its exclusive dining room in front of the Cordon del Plata, with its delicious cuisine. In the afternoon, you’ll visit and experience a tasting at the Catena Zapata Winery, a surprising architectonic pyramidal wonder.

DAY 3 : CHACRAS DE CORIA / SAN RAFAEL
Description: after breakfast, we will depart for San Rafael. After settling in and having lunch at the Viñas del Golf Estate, the afternoon will be organized according to your preference: you can take a tour of the winery and experience a tasting, or you can participate in viticultural activities: collection, pressing, selection of grapes, etc. You may also take advantage of the 9 hole golf course or go horseback riding through the vineyards. Plus, your chauffeur-guide will be available if you want to carry out an excursion to the Atuel Canyon. Distances: 250 km (155 miles), 3 hours to the estate and if you choose to go to Atuel Canyon, 120 km (75 miles) more. Lunch, dinner and accommodations: Algodon Wine Estate Hotel
DAY 4 : SAN RAFAEL / VALLE DE UCO
Description: visit to the Roca Winery. Alejandro, the fourth generation of the Roca family now in charge of the winery, will receive and look after you. Then, you’ll experience a traditional lunch and tasting with Alberto Goyenechea at the Goyenechea Winery; at 3 or 4 p.m. we will depart for Tunuyan. Alternatives: Mumm Champagne Winery, La Abeja or Jean Rivier. Distances: 150 km (93 miles), around 2 hours. Lunch: at the Goyenechea Winery. Dinner and accommodations: Valle de Uco Lodge
DAY 5 : VALLE DE UCO
Description: you will make your way down the small roads of the Uco Valley to the Salentein Winery. Besides its wine cellars, the winery has an innovative cultural, artistic and gastronomical center: ILLKA, unique in Argentina. We will then visit a small boutique establishment, the Andeluna Winery, to conclude our tour at the Altus Winery, where lunch will be waiting. You will feast on the exquisite regional cooking, and will want to stay at least until 4 p.m. Depending on the hour and your preference, you can take a detour to the town of Manzano Historico, located on the foothills. Alternatives: O’Fournier or La Azul Wineries. Distances: about 100 km (62 miles) total. Lunch: at the Altus Winery. Dinner and accommodations: Hôtel The Vines of Mendoza.
DAY 6 : VALLE DE UCO / ROAD 7 / ACONCAGUA / CHACRAS DE CORIA
Description: after breakfast, we will begin an excursion to the Valley of the Mendoza River, which flows into Chile. First we will arrive at the town of Potrerillos via the Las Carreras route, which offers exceptional views. We will continue on to Uspallata, stopping at Penitentes, curious rock formations, and at Paso de los Incas. This incomparable semi natural construction owes its colors to the water, which is charged with salt and sulfur. Further on, we enter the Aconcagua Park, home of the highest peak in America (6,959 meters – 22,831 feet above sea level). During the summer and if the weather allows it, it’z possible to carry out an excursion to the Cristo Redentor (4,832 meters – 15,853 feet). Optional: if the weather is sunny, you can take a one hour walk through Aconcagua Park towards Horcones Lagoon. Distances: 200 km (124 miles) of paved road, except the first 40 km (25 miles) and the 2 km (1.2 miles) entrance to Aconcagua Park. In case of ascension to the Christ, 40 minutes on dirt roads will be added. Lunch: at the Ayelen restaurant; in summer, gourmet picnic at Aconcagua Park. Dinner and accommodations: Cavas Wine Lodge
DAY 7 : MENDOZA / SALTA / ESTANCIA HOUSE OF JASMINES
Description: early in the morning you will be transferred to the Mendoza airport for a 90 minute flight to Buenos Aires; then a second flight to Salta of 2 hours 15 min. You will settle in, have lunch and then be able to rest at the hotel. If you wish, you can take a tour of the places of interest in the city of Salta and its outskirts: 9 de Julio Square, the cathedral, the city hall, the Basilica of San Francisco, the San Bernardo Convent, San Bernardo Hill, the General Guemes Monument and the artisans’ fair… Distances: 40 km (25 miles) for the city tour, approx 2 hours 30 min. Lunch, dinner and accommodations: Estancia House of Jasmines
Description: we will head towards the Calchaqui Valley through the tobacco plantations of Lerma Valley. On the magnificent route through the Valley of Escoipe, we discover subtropical vegetation. Under the intense blue mountain sky, the vegetation grows scarce as we ascend the impressive Obispo Hill, which will take us to the highest point of our excursion: the Windmill Stone, 3,348 meters (11,048 feet) above sea level. A detour will guide us to Los Colorados, mountains of red sand and rivers of salt. We then cross Los Cardones National Park to the picturesque town of Cachi. After lunch and visiting town, we continue our trip to the Estancia Colome on the famous route 40. If you like, we can stop at a poncho weaving workshop in Seclantas. Distances: 222 km (138 miles), 4 hours from Salta to Cachi and 2 hours 30 min from Cachi to Colome. Lunch: at the Autoclub Lodge – regional dishes. Dinnerand accommodations: Estancia Colomé
DAY 9 : ESTANCIA COLOMÉ
Description: day of activities at the estancia according to your preference: 4×4 tour of the property (39,000 hectares), visit to the winery and vineyards, the breeding farm and 160 hectares of biodynamic crops. You may also enjoy the amenities or activities: equestrian tour, swimming pool, tennis, lawn bowling, pool, mini golf, bocci ball court, internet and massage service. DAY 10 : ESTANCIA COLOMÉ / MOLINOS / CAFAYATE
Description: we will depart for Cafayate, stopping along the the way at a vicuña breeding farm in the town of Molinos. We then take route 40, which is surrounded by the surprising landscapes of Las Flechas formations. The Calchaqui Valley takes us to Cafayate. There we will begin, after lunch, a wine tasting circuit at two local wineries: Mounier (las Nubes) and Etchart… you will discover an amazing vine-stock: the Torrontes, the specialty of Cafayate. Note: the wineries selection may be modified according to your preference. Distances: 137 km (85 miles), approximately 4 hours. Lunch: at the San Pedro Winery restaurant in Yacochuya. DAY 11 : CAFAYATE / RUINES DE QUILMES / CAFAYATE
Description: the morning will be assigned to visiting the Quilmes ruins, the most renowned archeological site in the country. Quilmes is an ancient pre-Incan city which was inhabited between the 17th and 19th centuries. The site, built on a natural amphitheater, offers an exceptional view of the valley. You will have the afternoon to enjoy the hotel amenities (pool and spa), stroll through Cafayate or visit other wineries, such as Vasija Secreta (la Banda) or Nanni. Distances: 120 km (5 miles), 12 km (7.5 miles). Lunch, dinner and accommodations: Patios de Cafayate Hotel
DAY 12 : CAFAYATE / SALTA / BUENOS AIRES
Description: we will depart early for the Quebrada de las Conchas, where we will make frequent stops to admire the rocky formations of the area, one more spectacular than the other: the Obelisk, the Amphitheater, Devil’s Throat. If you like, we can do a guided mini trek in the Yesera area. After lunch you will be driven to Salta airport. After settling in at your hotel in Buenos Aires, a dinner show will demonstrate to you the warmth and grace of tango. Argentina continues to reveal its soul… Distances: Cafayate – Salta: 190 km (118 miles), around 4 hours. DAY 13 : BUENOS AIRES / FLIGHT
Description: before leaving for the airport, you can continue to discover Buenos Aires and/or, if you prefer, go shopping. The leather-goods and gaucho articles shops offer typical and original products. The city tour runs through 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world with its 65 meter (213 feet) obelisk and Avenida de Mayo, which is well known for its buildings of Galician architectural influence. At Plaza de Mayo you will discover the Casa Rosada, the president’s HQ. We will then visit La Boca neighborhood, with its colorful houses made with recovered material from ships, inspiration for painters and poets. We then discover San Telmo, home of antique shops and traditional Tango bars. Recoleta is a traditional residential neighborhood, where walking is a true pleasure due to its numerous parks and squares. To end the tour, we’ll visit Puerto Madero, the old city port which has recently been completely refurbished. Lunch: at the Gardiner restaurant or similar. Dinner and sleepover: on the plane.
